This role will report directly into the National Sales Manager
About the role that will typically involve –
- Work closely to support and facilitate growth for our new and existing customers by utilising your excellent customer service and selling skills.
- Prospect and target new key business accounts whilst maintaining high levels of service with existing accounts
- Generate new leads via cold calling, cold visiting and obtaining referrals from existing contacts and clients
- Prospect and present to clients to acquire new business, and follow through to sale/contract
- Present and demonstrate Keith’s product solutions to food retailers, distributors and their representatives
- Set appointments as required
- Adhering to the proven regional phone contact and regional business development program, which includes prospecting and follow up calls to deliver customer service to local and key regional area customers within designated territory when face to face is not an option
- Nurture Strategic Relationships and use strategic perspective in decision making and closing deals
- Skilled negotiation & Value Based selling
- Serve as the link of communication between Keith’s management and your territory
- Value Based selling
- Ensure that food retailer needs are serviced by their preferred distributor by regular communication
- Handle end user, food retailer and distributor related complaints on products and document to Head Office for auditory purposes
- Accurately manage and enhance our database of End-users, Distributors and Key Accounts through up-to-date CRM data entry
- Gain stock purchase commitments from Key Accounts and Distributors and ensure effective communication to these groups, and communication with Head Office for stock forecasting, ensuring adequate cover of stock and mitigating risk of un-supply issues (specifically events within the territory such as festivals etc)
- Enhance existing client purchases through gaining the acceptance of additional products, either through competitor replacement or by creating new products (for sale) in the food retailer’s business
- Inform food retailers and food distributor sales staff of current promotional activities and drive together
- Represent Keith’s Quality Foods at Trade Shows and other marketing events as required
