The Sales Manager works closely with local sales teams to drive revenue growth and market expansion. The primary focus is on developing and executing sales strategies to achieve business objectives while ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Grow the budget, achieving sales targets through strategic planning and execution.
- Manage key accounts, build strong relationships, and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders. Understand their needs, challenges, and goals to provide tailored solutions and drive customer satisfaction.
- Sales Strategy Execution: Lead the implementation of sales strategies and initiatives to drive revenue growth. Work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of sales strategies and initiatives. Monitor sales performance, analyze results, and make data-driven decisions to optimize sales efforts.
- Sales Forecasting and Budgeting: Develop sales forecasts and budgets based on market analysis, sales trends, and business objectives. Monitor sales performance against targets and adjust plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
Ideally the successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience in sales management, with a track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets
- Experience in timber industry would be advantageous but not essential
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinking and analytical abilities, with a deep understanding of market dynamics and sales principles
- Proficiency in sales management software and CRM systems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a results-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, enabling effective communication, data analysis, and project management.
- Travel interstate required.
