Levantine Hill is an award-wining family-owned winery and vineyard in the Yarra Valley. We are a fast-growing company, operating a large single-site premium wine, tourism and hospitality business in Australia.
The business is set across our 3 major vineyards along the Maroondah Highway in the Yarra Valley. Levantine Hill Estate specialises in wine production and wholesale, functions, events, onsite restaurant and cellar door, and soon to open 33 room hotel (currently under construction).
The name Levantine Hill draws inspiration from the French-named Levant, meaning “where the sun rises”. “The Levantine” region is represented in the ancient biblical lands of the eastern Mediterranean. And that is where the story of Levantine Hill Estate began, many generations ago. Like our wines which have been crafted in the old-world ways, our food philosophy honours our Levantine heritage.
To support the company’s ambitious expansion plans, Levantine Hill is looking for a Sales Manager, Direct to Consumer.
Who we are looking for
This brand-new role will head up the existing direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales division of the business and then execute the day-to-day sales efforts and sales activity of that DTC division.
The role will also be responsible for managing the CRM system, and all processes required for managing the day-to-day sales activities.
In this role, you will manage the existing DTC sales team members based at head office, as well as collaborate closely with the Cellar Door sales team.
A key part of this role is converting warm leads from the cellar door and restaurant in the Yarra Valley and being the ‘bridge’ between the head office DTC team and the Yarra Valley hospitality division. You will be the department lead work to execute direct-to-consumer initiatives to drive wine sales via phone, email, events, and the restaurant and cellar door.
Core Responsibilities:
- Execute business development initiatives aimed at expanding the wine loyalty program and increasing revenue in line with budgets.
- Personally selling to loyalty program customers.
- Managing and monitoring director to Consumer sales team members achievements.
- Increase the number of loyalty program members each year. Activate customers from the cellar door, restaurant, and mailing list into the membership program as per agreed KPIs per year.
- Assist with the implementation of the yearly calendar of marketing strategies targeted at direct consumers and the loyalty program.
- Support the implementation of LHE’s e-commerce initiatives to increase direct sales.
- Liaise, motivate, train and inspire the sales team across the whole company to ensure the product portfolio and brand standards are met and exceeded.
- Act as a brand ambassador communicating our unique selling points and ethos to guests, our team and the broader community.
- Lead your sales team in providing customer service for DTC customers and their orders
- Manage and attend consumer events, tastings, and activations for LHE wines, to ensure brand consistency and excellence of delivery.
- Influence and assist with executing member and sales events.
