Job description:

The Opportunity

As the Sales Manager, CV & Fleet you will report directly to the Head of Commercial Vehicles and Fleet at Hyundai Motor Company Australia (HMCA) and will be responsible for commercial vehicle sales throughout the network to achieve company wholesale, retail and market share objectives.

You will build strong relationships and make use of industry knowledge in order to support the sales objectives for Commercial Vehicles, including working closely with the dealer network to ensure long-term viability aligned to HMCA brand.

About the Role


Feasibility
1. Product

  • Review HMC CV Hydrogen and EV portfolio from a market competitiveness perspective
  • Review and propose CV sales approach by segmentation of the market to support volume opportunities

2. Channel

  • Present Australian CV channel landscape identifying the nature of customer base largely small to large trucking fleet companies or lease companies
  • Identify "Go to Market" strategies that segment out key focus partners and channels that best match the product applications HMCA CV is deploying
  • Consider competitive fleet rebates / loyalty and lock in schemes to maintain zero emission volume and share progress within the CV Zero emission industry

3. Incentives

  • Liaise with key Government, Green Corporates and CV Truck leasing companies to identify and maximise zero emission incentives directed towards HMCA CV initiatives
  • Establish key Government relations with HMCA Government and Corporate Affairs staff building connections to show case HMCA CV Zero emission technology and to be incorporated in Australia Hydrogen and EV CV infrastructure discussions

Approval and Deployment
1. Business plan

  • Support Head of CV & Fleet to develop 5 Year business plan covering volume, revenue, cost, profit including key strategic drivers
  • Ensure strategic drivers cover channel partners pricing, fleet coverage, incentives, and service

2. Achieve agreed new and fleet Sales objectives for the Commercial Vehicles brand

  • Conduct regular meetings with the Sales team to communicate the brand's sales strategies and to agree field action plans
  • Negotiate dealer targets and obtain dealer commitment to annual volume objectives
  • Monitor monthly market trends and competitive activity and implement necessary action plans in conjunction with the Sales team
  • Optimise company and dealer ordering procedures to ensure a smooth and timely distribution process
  • Monitor dealer sales performance and analyse profit performance in conjunction with the dealer development department and where necessary implement action plans
  • Establish and implement fleet sales policies to ensure penetration of the corporate market

3. Contribute to the development and execution of brand marketing campaigns

  • Partner with the brand Marketing team to develop and deliver cohesive sales and marketing campaigns
  • Work closely with brand marketing and the dealer network in the formulation and implementation of co-op advertising campaigns

4. Ensure viability of the brand dealer network (in conjunction with the Dealer Development team)

  • Visit the Dealer network including prospective franchisees as required
  • Partner with the Dealer Development team to ensure the network development goals of the brand are met
  • Ensure that the brand has a profitable and well-presented Conformity dealer network
  • Ensure maximum customer satisfaction is met through DIA
