A leader in the Australian forklift industry, MLA Holdings Pty Ltd is the exclusive Australian importer and distributor of Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks and HELI Heavy Forklifts and Reach Stackers.
As a result of MLA's continued growth, we are seeking to appoint a dynamic and proven Sales Professional to expand our new sales of Heavy Forklifts and Reach Stackers on the Australian East Coast and develop strategic national account opportunities.
Ideally this position will be based at our Wetherill Park HO in Sydney where you will be reporting directly to the Managing Director. Qualified candidates based in Melbourne or Brisbane would be considered.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Promote and sell the range of HELI Heavy Forklifts and Reach Stackers by developing new business and managing existing customer relationships.
- Developing sales strategies that exploit HELI’s product edge and MLA’s national product support.
- Conduct customer site assessments to identify best solutions to meet their needs.
- Conduct equipment demonstrations in the field and in house.
- Meet or exceed annual sales budgets.
Your focus will be to generate new sales of HELI Heavy Forklifts and Reach Stackers on the East Coast. The ideal candidate for this position will have a track record in opening doors, closing sales, and building strong relationships.
Experience in the sales of Heavy Forklifts or similar capital equipment will be highly regarded. You will be able to demonstrate a professional image, strong presentation, and negotiation skills with technical aptitude.

Selection Criteria includes:
- Proven track record of success in the Heavy Forklift industry or heavy mobile equipment with a deep understanding of the industry.
- Effectively communicate and negotiate at all levels of management.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Drive and energy to pursue and close new business opportunities.
- Commitment to provide outstanding customer service.
- Interstate travel will be required.
