THE ROLE
As our Sales Representative, you will be a key player in enhancing our brand awareness and sales expansion across Victoria in independent pet stores, groomers, breeders and vets.
Do you have retail pet experience such as working in a pet store or as a proven Sales Representative in another industry? If you love pets and pet products, this is a great start.
We are seeking growth and are looking for an energetic self-starter to manage our existing client relationships in Victoria and seek out new business opportunities. The role will predominately be based in Melbourne, however you will also need to travel on a regular basis to visit clients in major regional towns.
As the Head Office is in Perth, you will need to be a self starter and be able to work autonomously.
Here's what your exciting journey with us will involve:
Sales:
- Visit existing clients and take orders, and educate our clients on new and existing products
- Respond to client enquiries within a timely manner.
- Cultivate new leads and business opportunities
- Monitor the industry competitors, new products and market conditions.
- Provide feedback to our buyers on existing and potential products
Administration:
- Arrange credits/warranties for customers and liaise with our credit department
- Enter orders into our system (Triumph)
- Maintain sales logs and records
- Provide sales reporting
Trade Shows & Expos:
- Attend Melbourne brand events such as Melbourne Dog Lovers Show to showcase our brands
ABOUT YOU
- Have a willingness to learn and be on the road face to face with our clients
- Ability to cold call and build rapport with clients
- Be able to work autonomously
- 2+ years experience in a pet retail role or proven Sales Representative experience from another industry
- Strong communications skills with the ability to negotiate and influence
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Intermediate MS Office Excel Skills
- Positive energy, good outlook, and a go-getter attitude.
