We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for full-time permanent Sales Support Merchandise to join our Midvale branch to help drive instore sales of our agricultural merchandise products. 

About the Opportunities:

Reporting to the Merchandise Manager, you will focus on developing strong customer relationships. Our customer base is broad and can include local farmers, Horticulture growers and trade customers. 

Tasks are varied because no two days are the same in a rural retail store and you will work across a variety of activities including:

• Customer service, operating registers, sales order administration, replenishing products, preparing orders for delivery, ad-hoc local delivery, and store merchandising. 
• In addition, you will respond promptly to pricing and product queries, resolving issues to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction whilst maintaining a welcoming, friendly, and well-presented store environment. Endeavoring to provide a memorable experience for all customers both in store and over the phone. 

About you:

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in a team support role in a busy environment. You’ll have a passion for Australian farming and agriculture, ideally with knowledge of animal health and rural merchandise. In addition, you will demonstrate:

• Experience working within a sales environment.
• Effective verbal communications skills.
• A proactive approach to work and practical organisation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Problem solving skills and empathy to resolve customer issues promptly.
• Ability to identify ways to improve internal sales processes.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• A current driver’s license and a current forklift ticket is desirable.
