Salesperson.

General Summary, this position requires a highly organized, hardworking and self-motivated person to assist the branch manager in keeping the sales office running smoothly. The role requires the person reporting to branch managers with minimal direct supervision while maintaining the delivery calendars and schedules for the branch, therefore they must have superb time management and organization skills. 

The person will be comfortable with general office operations, including emails, receiving/making phone calls and dealing directly with the public. 

Our salesperson is one of the faces of our community organization, and therefore should have great people and communication skills in order to best work with our clients. Because we are always seeking ways to better serve the community, we also expect that our salesperson will help us identify ways we can be more effective and efficient by contributing fresh ideas for improvement.


Responsibilities:

  • Invoicing in accordance with pricing policy to be completed accurately and within specified time frame's.
  • Provide admin, accounting and clerical support to sales/management.
  • Manage petty cash.
  • Answer and direct phone calls.
  • Develop a strong knowledge and understanding of all products. (training provided)
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws.
  • Maintain an up to date toilet pump-out schedule.
  • Provide general support to visitors.
  • Work confidentially when required.
  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients.
  • Carry out customer sales and enquiries.
  • Entering customers payments.
  • Attend sales meetings.
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
  • Assist in updating social media.
  • Assist in delivery and pick up of hire items, including site setup.
  • Ad-hoc duties as required.
  • Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with sales duties in an office/onsite setting.
  • Working knowledge of G-suite.
  • Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work.
  • Current drivers licence. 
  • Forklift licence is an advantage.

Accountabilities:

  • Our goal is zero incidents. You are responsible to act in a safe manner and act on all unsafe procedures and assets reporting accordingly to your leading hand/manager at the time of the incident.
  • Asset management, through maintenance and care of all company assets.
