We are seeking a highly skilled SAP BCS Functional Specialist to join our leading global IT consultancy client in Perth.
This role involves delivering top-notch SAP Business Consolidation System (BCS) solutions to the mining industry, leveraging your expertise in financial reporting, consolidation, and data integration. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the financial operations of our clients by implementing and optimising SAP BCS functionalities.
Key Responsibilities:
- IFRS Knowledge:
- Apply your in-depth understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting and consolidation processes.
- Divestment and Acquisition Concepts:
- Provide expertise in handling divestments and acquisitions within the BCS framework, ensuring smooth transitions and accurate financial representation.
- BCS Data Modelling and Design:
- Develop and manage BCS data models, data basis, and master data.
- Design and implement reclassification, validation, and interunit elimination processes.
- Develop and maintain interfaces to ensure seamless data integration and accuracy.
- BCS Equity Accounting:
- Oversee and manage equity accounting processes within the BCS system to ensure accurate representation of equity investments and results.
- BCS Consolidation of Investment:
- Implement and manage the consolidation of investments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- BI Data Source and Transformation:
- Design and manage BI data sources, info objects, and transformation rules.
- Query designers to generate accurate and insightful financial reports.
- Reconciliation Knowledge:
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing reconciliation processes between source systems (ECC, BI) and BCS.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with SAP BCS.
- Proficient understanding of IFRS and its application in financial reporting and consolidation.
- Expertise in BCS data modelling, data basis, and master data design.
- Strong skills in BCS equity accounting and consolidation of investment processes.
- Experience with BI data sources, info objects, transformation rules, and query designers.
- Proven ability to perform reconciliations between source systems and BCS.
- Knowledge of FI (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Banking).
- Understanding of CO (Cost Object Controlling, Profitability Analysis, Cost Center Accounting).
- Experience with Project Systems (PS).
- Familiarity with Logistics Invoice Verification (LIV).
- Knowledge of Joint Venture Accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant SAP certifications are highly desirable.
