Goodstart Early Learning is currently seeking an SAP Functional Consultant – Payroll (Systems Owner). In this role, you will be responsible for the support, operation and development of the technical aspects of SAP Payroll and SuccessFactors application within the Goodstart environment. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the solution meets the organisations requirements in a timely and sustainable fashion. This position will be part of a team that drives a customer-focused culture aligned to Goodstart’s foundations, by empowering and enabling our teams to deliver outstanding service and support.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
• Support the product strategy and roadmap by providing technical advice to the Product Manager and third-party vendors, ensuring proposed developments balance the business and technical requirements of the organisation
• Support the management the product backlog by consulting with the Product Manager to identify the technical impacts of backlog items, estimate effort and complexity. Assist the Product Manager with the prioritisation and scheduling of backlog items.
• Triage and analyse support issues raised by the business.
• Implement changes and fixes including conducting analysis of change requests to determine the implementation activities required. Also, managing the implementation of these changes through the Solution Development Lifecycle
• Manage technical changes by ensuring all changes to the Payroll systems performed by Goodstart and their support vendors are delivered in accordance to the Goodstart IT Change Management process.
• Ensure successful vendor partnerships by building and maintaining a framework for collaboration around product issues and enhancements.
To be successful in this position you will need to have notable local SAP Payroll expertise within Australia, and ideally come from a strong functional background. Other things that will assist in being successful include:
• Proven experience as an SAP Functional Consultant within the HCM Payroll space
• Experience in designing, configuring and maintaining payroll components including; wage types, benefits integration, deductions, off-cycle activity, garnishments, taxation rules, FI mapping, infotype association, permissibility rules, accumulations, date and period modifiers and reporting
• Certification in SAP Payroll and SuccessFactors module. (Employee Central Payroll Preferred)
• Experience in Payroll Control Center, SuccessFactors Integration Center and other EC modules (preferably)
• Experience with gap analysis and strategic roadmap/blueprint development
• Experience in proactively monitoring solutions and application and suggest improvement areas.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, and experience working with varied stakeholders
Some additional skills that whilst not essential would be highly beneficial include:
• Experience integrating SAP HCM Payroll into other systems (E.g. rostering management systems)
• Early Childhood sector experience highly desirable
• Prior experience in functional role / end user preferred
