Job description

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.
Could you be the SAP Implementation Lead we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your operational management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to the Project Director, and work alongside a diverse group of Colleagues that support our Victorian Services business.
You'll play a critical role in leading and driving the implementation of SAP CMMS across several locations for one of our most critical projects, the V/Line maintenance operation. You will also be responsible for leading and managing change, and ensuring all relevant staff have the appropriate training required to use the new technology. This role will be based at our facility in West Melbourne, however there will be some travel to other locations in VIC.
We’ll look to you for:
-Leading a team of Key Users to support with activities to migrate business data into SAP
-Ensuring the business has cleansed data in the existing system (Maximo) before migration
-Developing robust planning for the ‘go live’, with training plans, gap analysis, change management strategies and support structures
-Setting up key systems supporting SAP
-Deploying the mobile (tablet) solution to the operational team and delivering training
-Working with our customers to define and deploy system interfaces where required
-Auditing the processes to highlight compliance and opportunities for improvement

All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
-Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills with the proven ability to influence at all levels
-The demonstrated ability to successfully lead and manage a team
-Experience in a similar role leading the implementation of a technology solution
-A sound understanding of SAP and CMMS
-Experience in an operational environment (maintenance/manufacturing/heavy industry or similar) would be highly advantageous

Things you’ll enjoy
Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:
-Enjoy stability, challenges and a long-term career
-Contribute to an iconic project, critical to transport in Victoria
-Flexibility working options
-Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
-Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning
-Receive generous parental leave – 18 weeks fully paid
-Have access to a free corporate gym membership
-Receive free salary continuity insurance
-Receive additional leave days each year

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
