Leading Australian fintech organisation is looking to hire a well seasoned Application Support Engineer to be involved in a large scale greenfield program of work. This role will be providing support to various internal and external production teams during the delivery of the project. As an Application Support Engineer you will be heavily involved in building up the new technical environment and infrastructure and supporting the existing applications.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and maintenance for internal financial applications
- Provide technical support within various cloud environments.
- Provision level-2 support for Production environments, testing environments, and migration projects.
- Regularly assess the efficiency of existing systems and identify enhancements for inclusion in the technology roadmap.
- Monitor application health and performance metrics, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Document and update support procedures to facilitate applications management and knowledge retention.
- Comply with best practice frameworks such as ITIL & COBIT for request, incident, change, and release management.
- Collaborate with the cloud infrastructure team to ensure smooth operation of the cloud platform supporting the applications.
- Minimum 3 years experience in Application or Technical support in highly regulated environments
- Experience is supporting Cloud environments/infrastructure
- Strong experience with supporting mission critical applications
- Working experience of Linux and shell scripting
- Highly proficient in SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with monitoring tools, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with containerisation, Kubernetes and CI/CD deployment tools.
