The SAS Warehouse Technical Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving SAS warehouse processes. They will collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations and optimal performance of the data warehouse system. - Overnight completion of key processes including Warehouse data, Credport, Portal for Operations, Daily Email reporting, My Compass & Scheduler updates.
- Maintain/improve codes/processes used, including troubleshooting problems to determine root cause and driving solutions.
- Ongoing review, remediation, and regression testing of changes to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Perform regular disk space monitoring, health checks, patching, remediation, and testing as needed.
- Archiving and liaising with the infrastructure team.
- Assist with warehouse design/infrastructure for best practices in data, code, and security.
- Build/create new warehouse data/processes for new products and/or datasets.
- Ensure availability of analytics platforms such as SAS Base 9.4, Creditport reporting platform, Tableau server, Analytics modeling platform, Python server, and the new analytics platform.
- Assist analysts within the Analytics team in implementing warehouse data for analysis, modeling, and reporting.
- Operationalize statistical and machine learning models into the production environment, including A/B testing, parallel testing, and UAT.
- Monitor the performance of production models for drifts and create trigger points for model reviews.
- Send reporting and operational requests to the Analytics Manager and Project/Implementation Manager for triage.
- Assist with the implementation of operational processes, including data washes, workflows, compliance, campaigns, reporting, and warehouse changes.
- Maintain/improve codes/processes used for Ops email reports, Credport reports, portal, etc.
- Troubleshoot problems in processing, accurately determine the root cause, and drive solutions.
- Perform ongoing review, remediation, and regression testing of changes to ensure quality and integrity of reports.
- Continually revise/deactivate defunct reports.
- Assist with deployment reviews and implementation of existing and new reports.
- Review HEAT requests periodically during the day, taking ownership and driving solutions or redirecting as appropriate.
- Build/create new reports for new products and/or existing products.
- Assist senior members in performing data security policy and strategy review.
- Review the data reside in the Analytics environment (files, folders, SAS data, excel spreadsheets), and user access.
- Support and assist the IT department with upgrades, new deployments, and testing.
