- 7.5 to 8 hours per day and 37.5 to 40 hours per week.
- Adelaide CBD Suburb locations (Fully on-site work required)
- Adelaide based candidates only. This role requires the candidate to be in the office every day due to critical hardware being based on different sites.
- $63.59 per hour base plus 11% superannuation on an hourly rate casual contract based on experience, 37.5 to 40 hours (25% casual loading included). The rate of pay is aligned with skills, experience, or expertise.
- Water industry award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances and superannuation.
Overview
Provide advanced level support of critical SCADA software applications and hardware/field devices so our client can monitor and control operational assets to deliver efficient, reliable, and cost-effective water services across South Australia. Provide advanced technical analysis and contribute to identifying, planning, developing, and delivering recommendations and technical SCADA solutions to meet our clients' needs.
Key accountabilities
- Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders across our client's relevant departments, providing input into decision making and problem solving to support the SCADA environment.
- Provide advice on the SCADA environment in assisting the business in achieving their objectives and business solutions.
- Maintain documentation for training and processes used and managed by the team and their end users.
- Provide technical and systems analysis and advice to key stakeholders in the support, maintenance, and enhancement of our client's SCADA environment.
- Work with projects delivering SCADA infrastructure to ensure standards compliance and the successful and complete system integration of new infrastructure, applications, and processes, including troubleshooting, and identifying improvements.
- Provide advice on SCADA applications in assisting the business in achieving their objectives and business solutions.
Key technical knowledge
- Alarm Management, development, reporting, analysis, and training. Including Stakeholder negotiation and configuration development of alarms.
- RTU, radio and modem configuration, reporting, communication fault diagnosis and remediation, and technical maintenance
- Desktop and technology systems development and maintenance
- SCADA graphics, tag management and backend systems development, maintenance, and support
- Legacy systems support for applications used to manage legacy hardware and processes
- Historical data systems reporting, configuration and support. Including stakeholder management with business users and support teams.
Foundation Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification or industry certification and/or a minimum of 5 years broad experience in SCADA application support and/or system integration
- Experience with the use and application of SCADA systems in industrial environments, including application and device programming/configuration, database interaction and report creation tools.
- Extensive and comprehensive knowledge of our client's SCADA applications, in particular GE iFix and Historian, OSIsoft PI or similar, and the business processes that are supported by those applications.
- Comprehensive understanding of how SCADA applications integrate with field devices and telemetry, data storage and analytical systems.
- Experience with SCADA application system development, enhancement and support policies and processes including application development and configuration, change and Risk management and quality assurance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Expertise in Visual Studio\VBA, IsaGRAF and/or Ladder logic programming
- Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision.
