Under the direction of the SCADA Coordinator, carry out:
- Maintenance and modification of councils' Industrial Control Systems (ICS).
- Provide technical advice and recommendations on the SCADA control and instrumentation design infrastructure projects.
- Provide SCADA control testing and commissioning and acceptance advice and recommendations as required for all SCADA control infrastructure projects.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain and update council's SCADA technical standards and auxiliary technical documents.
- Create, review, and update SCADA technical procedures.
- Provide input into tenders, request for quotes, contracts, including scope of works and technical specifications.
- Provide input into asset lifecycle management and maintenance.
- Ensure councils PLC backup and auditing software is functioning for all existing and new assets.
- Ensure councils centralised PLC monitoring software is functioning for all existing and new assets.
- Field and remote support of industrial control systems, including reactive and planned maintenance.
- Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). monitoring, fault finding and programming with predominantly Rockwell PLC's. Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) monitoring, fault finding and programming.
- Variable Speed Drive (VSD) monitoring, fault finding and programming with predominantly Rockwell VSD's. Modification of industrial control systems to meet changing business requirements using internal change management system.
- Manage backups of PLC's and VSD's.
- Human Machine Interface (HMI) monitoring, fault finding and programming with predominantly Citect, Wonderware, and Rockwell HMI's.
- Monitoring, fault finding and programming of operational technology including data gateways/protocol converters, power monitors, ethernet communications equipment, and smart instruments.
- Monitoring, fault finding, and programming of PLC, HMI, and alarm paging redundancy systems.
- Analyse data from Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems to provide fault finding of treatment and reticulation process issues.
- Monitoring, fault finding, and programming of communication systems including Ethernet and radio telemetry networks.
- Document works in technical documents and works management system
- Participate in on call roster.
- Review, carry out, and witness factory acceptance testing and site acceptance testing for operational and capital works.
- Carry out duties in a manner that promotes collaboration, trust and customer service across the team.
- Fulfil relief SCADA coordinator arrangements as requested
