About the role - San Sisto College is seeking a qualified School Officer (Teacher Aide) to join our Learning Enhancement Team in supporting our students to engage in their schooling and achieve their full potential.
Duties include:
- Assisting student learning, either individually or in groups, where some discretion and judgement are involved in evaluating and assessing (under the supervision of an academic staff member(s)) the learning needs of students.
- Within routines, methods and procedures carrying out liaison between the school, the student and the student’s family where some discretion and judgement are involved.
- Under direct and/or routine supervision, performing tasks of limited complexity, associated with classroom learning experiences, such as assisting teachers in preparing, implementing and supervising learning programs.
- Supporting students in relation to their physical needs where some discretion and judgement are involved.
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
