Primary Objective:

School Officer: Student Services and Administration - Key Duties/Responsibilities:
• Provide a safe and secure environment to all students, and have a strong personal commitment to uphold the Catholic Ethos and Mission of the College.
• Accurately manage student attendance records and reports, and communicate effectively with college staff and parents/guardians.
• Provide a professional and friendly first point of contact for students, families and visitors, including monitoring daily arrival and departures.
• Use a high level of initiative to receive, respond, direct and if necessary diffuse a range of enquires.
• Perform reception duties, including: filing, archiving, responding / directing incoming phone and email communication from college stakeholders.
• Coordinate the College’s incoming and outgoing mail including the collation and distribution of student reports, permission forms and other letters.
• Support College operations through managing school bells, sms push notifications and PA announcements.
• Collate and publish the College newsletter and other publications as required.
• Undertake administration area housekeeping and place orders for various supplies.
• Provide basic first aid / sick bay services.
• Liaise with the staff (day and boarding) to support College operations.
• Support the Administration Team with the delivery of service including major College events outside of regular hours (as required).
• Provide administration support to the College Leadership Team as required.
• Any other duties as directed by the Operations Manager or Principal.
Selection Criteria:
• Maintain a current Northern Territory Working with Children Check (Ochre Card).
• A demonstrated understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission.
• Holder of / willing to acquire: First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification.
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Canva and SchoolZine as well as the capacity to learn the student management systems CES & SEQTA.
• High level interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate appropriately, effectively and professionally with a range of stakeholders from a diverse range of backgrounds.
• High developed organisation and time management skills.
• High level of written and oral communication skills.
• Level of ICT literacy to undertake the responsibilities of the position.
• Ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ability to work in accordance with college, system and jurisdiction policy, processes and legislation.
