SAASTA is a highly regarded and unique education, cultural and sporting program for Aboriginal students with academies operating in high schools across South Australia. The academy aims to pursue excellence in achievement through a specifically designed culturally responsive, flexible and high-quality curriculum.
The School Operations Coordinator will develop and lead schools with the intention of highly engaging school programs for secondary Aboriginal students with the focus on culture, health, language, sports and wellbeing with a student-centred delivery. The position will ensure that the SAASTA staff working in Academy schools are supported to access high quality learning resources in order to implement culturally relevant and appropriate teaching and learning programs.
The School Operations Coordinator will develop programs that maximise student learning outcomes in the senior years, in preparation for successful and meaningful post-school transition.

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
