- Part-time or casual - days and location negotiable
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Child Psychotherapy (or working towards) required. Qualifications in Social Work or Counselling will also be considered.
- Between $75,000 and $100,031 (pro-rata) per annum dependent on qualifications and level of experience, plus superannuation.

About the role
This position is funded by the Department of Education School Readiness Funding (SRF), an exciting initiative that ensures kindergarten services in East Gippsland have access to allied health supports.
You will join the SRF multidisciplinary allied health team which consists of speech pathologists, occupational therapists and psychologists. You will be a part of a larger paediatric allied health team at GLCH and have the opportunity to work closely with other allied health practitioners.
The SRF program focuses on using a multi-disciplinary team approach to build the capability of educators to support children in line with the priority outcome areas of:
- Communication (language development)
- Wellbeing (social and emotional) including self-regulation
- Access and inclusion
You will deliver evidence-based practice to teachers, educators, educational support staff, parents and families. This can include but is not limited to case consultation support, training, coaching, modelling, reflective practice, professional development, capacity building and other discipline specific services to enhance children’s development to be school ready.
Qualifications & Experience
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Child Psychotherapy (or working towards) required. Qualifications in Social Work or Counselling will also be considered.
- Proven experience and/or knowledge of child’s development in the kindergarten years and/or evidence-based early intervention principals.
