As the School Computer Technician, you will be responsible for iPad administration, ensuring smooth operation and efficient use of these devices in classrooms. This position is offered on a full-time basis.
This is a TO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the TO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the TO3 once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of TO2 to TO3 classification range.
Your role:
Responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting technical issues, installing and configuring software, warranty claims and conducting routine maintenance tasks.
- You will collaborate closely with teachers and administrators to understand their technology needs and provide timely support and training.
- You will liaise with other staff members to coordinate technology initiatives and ensure alignment with educational goals.

- Basic Hardware diagnostics and installation (Windows and Mac);
- Basic software diagnostic and support (Microsoft Products);
- Online software and cloud-based management support;
- Audio and Video setup and troubleshooting services;
- Asset management including disposing device procedures, removal of and backup of sensitive stored data;
- Setting up and maintaining Network Infrastructure;
- Server Virtualization;
- IP subnetting;
- Deploy, configure and maintain Active directory user and rights through ZTP;
- Customer service feedback processes and procedures;
- Consistent communication and working with administration in the implementation of new programs and procedures at State Schools;
- Managing of school systems, onboarding of devices and upkeep on school owned technology;
- Allocating and distribution of iPads, laptops and CFT's throughout the school;
- Use of MDM, for monitoring and updating of iPads for students and staff;
- NAPLAN preparation;
- Attendance of professional development events;
- Maintain Mitel Phone System;
- Maintain Hikvision Video Surveillance System;
- Liase with outside vendors;
- AV management in meeting spaces;
