Fertility Specialists of Western Australia, a prominent component of the expansive City Fertility brand, is currently in search of a professional and astute Scientific Director. With a legacy of pioneering fertility treatments, our clinics are equipped with an extensive and highly regarded network of specialists. We take pride in offering a comprehensive range of specialist fertility services to individuals and couples across Australia.
Your role:
In your role you will lead the performance of laboratory services bringing expertise in reproductive science. This role will assist Fertility Specialists to deliver outstanding service and the best outcomes for clinicians, patients, and the CHA IVF Global network.
You’ll be collaborating with multiple stakeholders including industry leading specialists, as well as lab managers and Scientific Directors throughout Australia.
In your role as Scientific Director, you will be responsible for:
- Providing effective leadership of the laboratory services.
- Defining, implementing, and monitoring standards of performance and quality improvement of the embryology laboratory services.
- Promoting continual improvement across all facets of the team, respective roles, and responsibilities.
- Ensuring that our QMS is maintained to meet state and commonwealth legislative requirements.
We are seeking an experienced scientific leader who brings quality and commitment to lead our team of dedicated scientists. You will play a critical role in the function of the business’s success.
Qualifications and skills we value:
As the Scientific Director, you’ll bring both an operational and strategic lense to everything you do. Underpinning your exceptional scientific skillset will be highly effective communication and people leadership experience.
- Dedicated Experience: Experience working in a managerial role incorporating project supervision, mentoring, training, and development.
- Technical Proficiency: ART clinical laboratory experience.
- Industry Know-How: Previous experience in a Scientific Directors role (or equivalent position).
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication with proven ability to influence and manage.
- Strategic: Experience in experimental design and scientific discovery research.
In addition to the above, we’re also looking for someone with a higher scientific degree (PhD, Masters Degree).
