We are offering an opportunity for a suitably qualified Scientist to work with colleagues in our Blood Disciplines Group (which covers Chemical Pathology, Haematology, Transfusion, Immunology and Serology).
The position is a full-time position comprising 37.5 hours per week.
Position Objectives include:
Planning, preparing and dispatch of proficiency testing materials, survey report review, and customer technical support.
The ideal candidate for this role will have recent Immunology in a Clinical Pathology Laboratory.
Location
The position is located in St Leonards, Sydney and the office is within walking distance of the train station and the Pacific Highway.

Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate medical science degree or diploma, with recent work experience in a clinical laboratory of more than 2 years duration.
- Willingness to handle survey material according to company standard operating procedures and WHS guidelines.
- Proven interest in development/improvement of diagnostic laboratory testing and procedures.
- Proven record of attention to detail with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
- Demonstrated superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate or advanced experience in Microsoft office software, particularly MS Word, and MS Excel.
- Proven ability to work both as a team member and independently on projects.
- High level technical and report writing skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to the principles and practice of EEO, Ethical Conduct, diversity and WHS.
Desirable
- Recent Clinical Immunology experience
- Demonstrated experience in laboratory quality systems, NATA accreditation (ISO15189, ISO 17043 and/or ISO 9001).
- Experience in statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems.
- Willingness to engage in public speaking opportunities (e.g. professional conferences).
- Demonstrated planning aand project management capabilities.
- Current membership of a related professional organisation.
