Seafood Processing Staff

As a key member of our team, you will be working on a variety of tasks, including weighing, packing and labelling seafood, cleaning down of processing areas to Food Safety standards and assisting the filleting/processing team with various duties.

Ideal candidate will have:

• A flexible, hands-on work attitude
•  Ability to work in a small team environment
•  A positive attitude along with a good work ethic
•  Willing to perform a variety of tasks
• A good level of physical fitness as this role involves lifting and moving stock
•  Reliable, punctual, hardworking and self-motivated
• Ability to work under pressure
• Comfortable working in a cool environment
•  Able to maintain WHS and cleanliness of facility
•  Previous experience in similar role (preferred but not necessary)
•  Filleting, portioning or shucking skills are desirable but not essential
• Forklift License & LR Truck License Preferred 

Fish Filleter

Tasks will include:

• Filleting, skinning and cleaning whole fish
• Assisting the processing team to complete daily orders in a prompt manner
• Keeping the work environment clean and safe at all times
• Working to a high standard of Safe Food handling practices

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar role including filleting fish/butchery
• Ability to work at fast pace to meet order deadlines
• Positive Attitude and ability to work within a team
• Filleting fish, ensuring precision cuts, and adherence to industry food safety standards.
• Maintain the tools and equipment you’ll be using including knives and other equipment.

This is a Casual position offering hours Monday-Friday(Start time 6am), leading to a permanent full time for the right candidate.
