White Industries, a successful Australian Foundry, is seeking an experienced Second-Class Welder to join the team at their Ipswich site. Trusted by large corporates in mining, logistics and agriculture the 3rd generation family-owned business was established over 60 years ago.
About the role
Due to strong business performance and increase in demand at our Ipswich facility, we have an opportunity for a Second-Class Welder on a permanent full-time basis. We have a 38-hour, 5-day week operation with opportunity for overtime. White Industries is looking for a Second-Class Welder to perform effective preparation of our castings. As a Second-Class Welder you will be responsible for gauging, weld repairs and dressing operations to ensure they meet our quality standards.
This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the product is of the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut and gauge.
- Grinding/ fettling.
- Read & interpret basic drawings.
- Perform various general welding tasks in a foundry environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects.
About you:
- Reliable, hardworking with a positive attitude.
- Team player with ability to do overtime including weekend work.
- Trade certificate in Boilermaking/Welding/Fabrication Moulding (or equivalent).
- Proven knowledge in manufacturing and foundry processes.
- Ability to use power tools.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- High regard for Safety and WHS Standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong technical knowledge .
- Strong desire to succeed.
- High level of computer literacy.
