Qualifications & experience
- Has chef experience
- No need to have worked in asian cuisine we will train
- Good knife skills
- Good english for staff and customer communication
- Good reading follow order dockets, recipes and communication
Tasks & responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking meals to order
- Fresh produce preparation
- Menu sauce preparation
- Kitchen opening setup and closing duties each shift with all kitchen team members
- Following daily instructions from Kitchen Manager
- Checking stock on hand, stock par levels and ordering food supplies
- Monitoring and maintaining consistency in food quality ordered and prepared
- Determine production schedules necessary to ensure the timely delivery of food to customers
- Liaising with head chef and management on the day-to-day issues on food preparation
- Liaising with head chef on efficient procedures for food preparation, best practice
- Maintaining all kitchen, service and food storage areas are clean and maintained according to company and government health and safety standards
- Daily reporting on all refrigeration, freezers, dry stores, and deliveries are assessed
- Customer relations and work alongside restaurant manager and service staff to produce all food for customer orders and rectify any issues related to customer orders
