The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Teaching Biology to students from Year 7 to Year 12, including HSC levels.
- Developing and delivering engaging, innovative, and inclusive lesson plans that meet the NSW syllabus requirements.
- Inspiring and motivating students to achieve their highest potential in the biological sciences.
- Utilizing various teaching methodologies and technologies to enhance learning experiences.
- Assessing and evaluating student progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records.
- Participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborating with colleagues to promote a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Biology or a related field.
- Teaching qualifications recognized by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
- A valid Working with Children Check.
- Proven experience teaching Biology at secondary school level, preferably within a girls' school environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive educational environment.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience with HSC Biology curriculum and assessment.
- Ability to integrate technology effectively into teaching practices.
- A passion for continuous professional development and staying updated with current educational practices and scientific advancements.
