The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Teaching Biology to students from Year 7 to Year 12, including HSC levels.
Developing and delivering engaging, innovative, and inclusive lesson plans that meet the NSW syllabus requirements.
Inspiring and motivating students to achieve their highest potential in the biological sciences.
Utilizing various teaching methodologies and technologies to enhance learning experiences.
Assessing and evaluating student progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records.
Participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.
Collaborating with colleagues to promote a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
A degree in Biology or a related field.
Teaching qualifications recognized by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
A valid Working with Children Check.
Proven experience teaching Biology at secondary school level, preferably within a girls' school environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive educational environment.
Desirable Attributes:
Experience with HSC Biology curriculum and assessment.
Ability to integrate technology effectively into teaching practices.
A passion for continuous professional development and staying updated with current educational practices and scientific advancements.
