Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all aspects of the planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs.
  • Build the capacity of educators to model the ideals and values of the Muslim tradition, through reflective teaching practices.
  • Ensure that every learner is valued and supported to grow holistically reaching their full potential, through differentiated learning programs
  • Commitment to work with the Secondary Curriculum Coordinator and Heads of Department to monitor, assess and modify programs.
  • Development and implementation of appropriate, quality assessment tasks and assessment schedules.
  • Maintain quality and accurate records of student information.
  • Participate in the life of the school and develop healthy relationships with staff, students and parents to assist the positive development of the whole School community.
Required:
  • A formal teaching qualification (degree level)
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current registered with QIT to teach in QLD– or be eligible to register with QIT. 
  • Support the Muslin ethos of the school
  • Display a strong working knowledge of the QLD Curriculum
  • Provide engaging contemporary learning opportunities across the curriculum.
  • Build and maintain positive respectful relationships with students, colleagues and parents
  • Work flexibly and collaboratively within staff teams
  • Have highly effective organisational and communication skills
  • Be committed to professional learning and ongoing improvement.

About You:
  • Outstanding knowledge of the QIT curriculum.
  • Ability to differentiate teaching that enhances student outcomes.
  • Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work in a friendly, professional and cooperative manner with students and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with relational ability, flexibility, creativity and organisation
  • Strong behaviour management skills and ability to reinforce appropriate behaviours in the classroom.
