About the Role:
Are you an experiences Secondary Learning Support person looking for a new and rewarding challenge? Tradewind have partnered with a well-respected Christian college in Melbourne's West offering a part time or full-time position starting from now.
Work within secondary years 7-9 dedicated to supporting students academically, assist with planning and modelling, taking small groups of students on a needs basis and contributing to the success of this cohort, from now until the end of the year with possible 2025 opportunities.

Key duties:
- Providing support to teachers by assisting with classroom management, lesson preparation, and instructional activities.
- Work with small groups of students, providing one-on-one assistance, or helping to implement differentiated instruction strategies.
- Monitor students during lunch breaks, recess, and other non-instructional times to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Implement behaviour management techniques to address disruptive behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
- Provide additional support to students who may require special accommodations or interventions due to learning disabilities, behavioural challenges, or other needs.
- Assist with the administration of assessments and tracking student progress to identify areas where additional support may be needed.
- Encourage positive behaviour and student engagement through praise, encouragement, and reinforcement of desired behaviours.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to develop and implement strategies for meeting the diverse needs of students in a challenging school environment.
- Uphold Christian values of integrity, faith, respect, service, forgiveness and compassion in every interaction with students, teachers and the wider community.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Secondary Learning Support experience
- Minimum Certificate III or IV in Education Support
- Full Australian working rights
- Christian/Catholic School experience highly regarded
- At least 1 church reference
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
Offering:
- Full time or part time opportunity
- Commencement from now
- Contract till the end of the year with possible extension into 2025
- Working with students in years 7-10 across all subject areas/classes

- Commence Semester 2- Term 3 in a full-time, ongoing role
- Receiving a salary commensurate with your demonstrated expertise, within the range of $55,000 to $71,000 (full time)
