Role Description/Criteria

Learning Support Officer (co-educator).

This is a fixed-term position classified under the 2022 CEMEA as Education Support Category B (dependent on prior experience and skills). The hours of employment for this position will be 10 hours spread over five days, with up to 20 hours available for a suitable candidate. Preference will be given to applicants with recent previous experience in an Education Support Officer/Learning Support Officer role in a primary school setting or applicants currently studying teaching in a Bachelor of Education undergraduate degree course.

This position will commence on Monday, July 22, 2024.

Special Requirements

- understanding of wellbeing strategies to support learning

- experience in and practical understanding of differentiated learning whereby all students within a classroom can learn effectively, regardless of differences in ability

- a passion for building strong partnerships between our families and school

- a willingness to be open and responsive to new learning

- Certificate III or IV qualification in Educational Support or equivalent (preferred)
