The Security Communications & Dispatch Officer (SCDO) will support Security Monitors, the Security Monitor Team Leader and the Security Monitor Supervisor through both radio and telephone communications and electronically recording information related to the daily operations of the Security
Monitor Program.
Maintain records of security resource daily operations.
Dispatch Security resources in alignment with SOW (Statement of work) and Facility Regulations.
Communicate effectively with multiple stake holders in a fast-paced environment across multiple lines of communication.
Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Concept of Operations (CONOPs).
Ensure Security Integrity in alignment with Facility regulations, SOP’s and CONOPs.
Advise security resources in accordance with Facility Regulations, SOPs and CONOPs.
Aid in the investigation of Security incidents as and provide reports as required.
Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety requirements.
Any other reasonable duties as requested.
Minimum Qualifications:
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (OneNote and Visio desirable) experience.
Proficiency with uhf radio communications
12+ months previous Security Experience.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with various stakeholders in a professional, fast-paced environment.
Experience with scanning, filing and data entry desirable.
Experience working in a Security Operations Centre desirable
Fully adjudicated TS/SCI with polygraph (US Citizens)
NV1 (Australian Citizens)
Work Environment, Physical Demands and Mental Demands:
The position is shift work with coverage required Monday to Friday (0600 to 1800) and Saturday (0600 to as required).
The position is desk based and sedentary in nature, the ability to lift items up to 5kgs (11 lbs) may be required occasionally.
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 10kgs, kneeling, standing and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and must be able to work under deadlines.
The ability to lift items up to 10kgs independently.
The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand.
