AddressJob Opportunity: Cyber Security Specialist
Are you ready to join a dynamic team focused on ensuring the security and safety of a global organization’s network? We are seeking a dedicated Cyber Security Specialist to join our team and help us maintain and improve our portfolio of security controls.
About the Role: In this role, you’ll be an integral part of the Cyber Security Technical Operations team, reporting to the Manager of Cyber Security Technical Operations. You’ll work closely with IT service owners, operational support teams, and business partners to ensure our network’s security posture is robust and continuously improving. Your key responsibilities will include monitoring network security, identifying potential issues, and coordinating remediation efforts across a global organization.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize firewall monitoring tools to detect security risks and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
- Track and report progress on identified vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure consistent security practices.
- Contribute to safety practices, including hazard identification, incident reporting, and safety audits.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance security controls.
Key Objectives and Results:
- Complete assigned tasks on time with high quality.
- Address and resolve identified vulnerabilities.
- Maintain compliance with cyber security standards.
- Track and report vulnerability status clearly and accurately.
- Foster strong collaboration within the cyber team.
- Ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A few years of relevant industry experience, such as network administration or a similar role.
- Solid understanding of network segregation, protocols, subnetting, routing, IPS/IDS, and firewalls.
- Experience managing segregated networks at scale.
- Foundational knowledge of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) technologies and protocols.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS and Azure) and their identity management and access controls.
- Experience working in a global organization with large IT environments, following ITIL processes.
- Self-driven with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Firemon or Skybox.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow and Azure DevOps.
