Security Officer - Class 1

The Fullerton Hotel Sydney is recruiting passionate, customer-focused, Security Officers to join a high performing team.

The Role:

 As a Security Officer, you’ll work in the Prestigious Fullerton Hotel Sydney located in the heart of the Sydney CBD at No1 Martin Place, providing security and safety services over 24/7 shifts to the hotel's guests, staff and visitors. You will work shift hours across a 24-hour period, all days of the week.

We are looking for people who take pride in delivering exceptional customer service. You build great relationships with customers while following policies and procedures. You stay calm under pressure and act professionally in challenging situations. You have strong observational skills and can write accurate reports.

You do not need prior experience in the security industry; however, experience in a customer-oriented industry, is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• providing excellent customer service support.
• providing front-line and operational security functions to support hotel business consisting of:
  • Foot patrols of all Hotel property
  • First response capability in the event of a security or emergency incidents
  • First aid response to medical situations.
  • Deescalating situations in the event of protests and other civil unrest
• performing administrative duties to support the security function.

Selection Criteria to Be Addressed:

• Current Class 1A NSW Security Licence
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol accreditation 
• Demonstrated effective communications skills with the ability to handle a variety of difficult situations
• A good command of the English language
• Must be able to effectively work independently and as part of a team
• Practical knowledge of security equipment including CCTV operations and access control systems
• Intermediate Computer Skills with particular experience with MS Word and Excel

Demonstrated knowledge of Fire Control Systems
