About the role
As a Security Officer, you will work in a collaborative team environment to provide support at our Lake Vermont project. Reporting directly to the site based Health, Safety and Training Department.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Control security requirements on site from the Site Access Centre
- Monitor vehicles and equipment coming to and from site
- Ensure compliance requirements are met
- Monitor security cameras and CCTV
- Complete reports and computer use
- Operate management systems on site
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks to support site departments
- Conduct random drug and alcohol testing (training provided)
This dynamic and busy role has an immediate start and will utilise your experience in security operations offering rewarding career opportunities with a work life balance.
This is a DIDO position located in the Mackay or Bowen Basin region. The position is on a 7/7 rotating roster, day and night shifts required. Camp (accommodation) is provided for DIDO workers.
This role is suited to someone who enjoys a varied workday, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a rewarding and engaging role within a supportive team.
About you
- Australian driver's licence - c class, open licence (manual, heavy rigid)
- QLD security licence - with functions monitoring and unarmed
- Certificate II or III in security operations
- Ability to obtain and maintain a coal board medical
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
- All successful applicants will be required to undertake pre-employment medical and national police check
- Willingness to attain qualifications as required which may include: Drug and Alcohol Testing, First Aid, Emergency Response.
