About the Role
G4S provides security for a major energy provider to ensure a safe and hazard-free environment for their operation. We provide asset protection, access control, maritime security, concierge services, CCTV operators and foot and vehicle patrols at Karratha Gas Plant, Western Australia. Our team patrols vast areas and are part of an Initial Response Team for emergency responses, provide surveillance, de-escalate abnormal incidents and liaise with Police, perform drug and alcohol tests, and assist all staff, visitors and contractors onsite.
As a Supervisor, this role will oversee the operations and performance of our teams on shift. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will ensure effective supervision of the onsite security team. This role requires high level communication skills as it will see you liaising directly with external and internal stakeholders, maintaining adequate and effective coverage throughout the site and accurate completion of all reports. In this role you will:
- Lead point of contact for all security matters whilst on shift
- Conducting security risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities specific to the project.
- Assisting with rostering short falls and managing the submission of accurate timesheets
- Develop comprehensive security plans outlining strategies, procedures, and resources to mitigate identified risks.
- Implement access control measures to restrict unauthorised personnel from entering sensitive areas of the site.
- Collaborating with local law enforcement and relevant authorities to report and address security incidents promptly.
- Understand and respect local customs and cultures to maintain positive relationships with local communities.
What we're looking for
- Minimum Certificate III Security Operations
- Hold a Western Australian Driver's Licence.
- Hold a Western Australian Security License - Static Guard/Crowd Control
- Hold a Certificate II Security Operations
- Have received or renewed your CPR cert within the year
