Job description:

Security System Administrator

Location: Parramatta

Employment type: Ongoing Full Time

Salary: Clerk Grade 5/6, $93,295 to $102,941 pa plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

The Security System Administrator is key in effectively managing security programs to ensure the safety and security of DCJ people, operations, information, and assets. This includes the implementation and administration of security programs across the department to ensure performance and compliance with relevant legislation and effective management of security related risks.

What you'll do

As part of the Major Program Delivery team with Infrastructure and Assets, the incumbent will display strong experience in managing security programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Delivery of security maintenance support to the Department
  • Support the system administration and management of highly effective people and asset Security Systems
  • Conduct site security risk assessments; desktop assessments; site survey; threat, vulnerability, and criticality assessments of assets to determine level of security and assets required
  • Provide technical and specialist security advice regarding security issues
  • Contribute to security projects and design solutions to provide the most appropriate solutions to the diverse security environment
  • Preparing security reports on department assets including assessments on currently installed security assets as dictated by risk levels and appetite, strategic and operational objectives
  • Assist other corporate security staff with the achievement of their key accountabilities

Essential requirements of the role

  • Possess, or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a minimum Australian Government Baseline security clearance and a favourable Criminal Records Inquiry (CRI).
  • Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management
  • Electronic security-related qualifications or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • Willing to obtain NSW Operative Class 2 Security Licence within 6 month probationary period, or maintain a current one.
