Based in Tom Price, Parlaparla Construction is a local indigenous owned company founded by our directors, out of a shared vision to shape the local youth of today to impact positive and meaningful changes in the immediate community to eventually trickle into the Pilbara landscape in general. We specialise in mining services, construction and building maintenance in the Pilbara Region towns and Aboriginal communities.
About the role
Due to our ever-increasing workload, we are looking for an experienced:
- Carpenter x 2
- Painter to join our team conducting ongoing works in the Pilbara. We offer a long-term, remunerative FIFO position based in our Tom Price branch.

Parlaparla offers a wide variety of work, roster flexibility and a supportive team, as well as ongoing opportunities for role development and upskilling.
Applicants must have a minimum Cert 3 along with a current driver’s licence. Industrial/mine experience is advantageous.
To be successful you must have the following:
- Essential - all round experience and skills across the carpentry/building trades
- Cert 3
- At least 5 years’ experience post apprenticeship
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Sound HSE knowledge
- Excellent time management
- Quality workmanship
- Experience in finishing works
- Proactive with safety and implementing on job sites
- Ability to work in a team environment or as an individual
- Able to supply your own general tools of the trade
