AFA Insurance Brokers operates as a part of QIB Group. This position is available within our AFAIB team, located in Darwin. AFAIB are seeking a full or part time Senior Account Manager to service their portfolio of clients.

Recent growth of the business has created a new opportunity for a Senior Broker/ Account Manager who is looking to take the next step in their career.  

About the Role:

An opportunity exists for an experienced insurance Broker to join the AFAIB team in our Darwin office. The successful candidate will possess a friendly professional attitude, and excellent time management and prioritisation skills. You will be required to maintain a portfolio of new and existing clients.

Managing a diverse portfolio brings an opportunity for a passionate and driven Broker who is self-motivated to lead their own personal and team growth. You will be supported by a dedicated Broker Assistant. Managing the portfolio includes handling new business enquiries, placing risks with insurers, managing renewals, servicing client’s enquiries and administrating policy documentation.

To be successful in securing this fantastic opportunity the candidate we are seeking will be a team player, be highly organised, have an eye for detail, and have a high level of client service skills.

About You:

• Experienced broker with 5+ years industry experience;
• Management experience or ability to demonstrate leadership skills;
• Experience servicing Corporate and SME clients;
• Excellent relationship management skills;
• Strong client service focus and retention skills;
• Strong administrative and computer skills, exposure to Insight, would be beneficial but not required;
• Ability to work unsupervised within a team environment;
• Career focused, responsible, self motivated and enthusiastic;
• Tier 1, or diploma qualification in Insurance Broking;
• Experience in a similar Senior Broker / Account Management position.
