MARS Recruitment has teamed up with a property company and is currently in search of a Senior Accountant for a 3-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension. The Senior Financial Accountant will have a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial, management, and budgeting processes. Responsibilities will include maintaining the general ledger, conducting month-end closures, preparing management accounts, analyzing profit and loss statements and balance sheets, and preparing statutory financial reports.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing the budgeting process.
• Completing the month-end close process, including balance sheet reconciliations.
• Coordinating monthly financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Preparing monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet analyses.
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management reports.
• Assisting in the preparation of the Annual Statutory Financial Report.
• Proactively making recommendations and engaging in process improvements.
• Effectively communicating financial information to other business units in a timely manner.
• Compiling audit files and managing auditor queries.

Criteria:

• 3+ years post qualification experience
• CA/CPA qualified (or international equivalent)
• Experience in funds or property is advantageous but not required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills
• Energetic, astute, and motivated
