Located at our Port Melbourne offices and reporting to the Financial Manager, this role will offer you the opportunity to be recognised for your genuine experience, capability and knowledge, which, will feed directly into the wider success of the organisation.
This role will see you provide timely and accurate accounting assistance to the business and support the Financial Accountant in delivering day to day financial transactions and assist in supplying financial analysis on a daily / monthly basis.
Importantly, you will have excellent organisation and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritise work. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients (internal and external) and suppliers including problem solving and negotiation skills to resolve queries. You will be highly adaptable and responsive with the ability to create solutions, supported by your attention to detail to ensure you are achieving your roles expectations.
On a day to day basis, a selection of task you will focus upon include:
- Accounts Payable
- Client payment reconciliation
- Balance sheet reconciliation and cash flow reporting
- Assist with preparation of annual company budgets
- Maintain fixed assets register
- Monthly reporting and analysis
- Preparing documentation for year end tax return as well as quarterly BAS
- Payroll tax and superannuation
- Assist and participate in external tax audit and tax management
- Month End:
- Assist the Finance Manager with month end duties including IAS
- Complete month end GST compliance
A prerequisite to gaining this wonderful opportunity will be having demonstrated experience in an Australian company along with a finance qualification. Knowledge of Netsuite will be an advantage.
