This office-based role, with hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, provides a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative and professional environment.
Reporting to the Business Services Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Comprehensive Financial Management: Accurately and efficiently prepare financial accounts, tax returns, and fulfill other tax reporting obligations for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Income Tax Expertise: Skilfully draft Income Tax Returns from initial documentation through to the review stage, ensuring precision and compliance.
- Year-End Preparations: Manage the preparation of year-end financial statements and reports, demonstrating your proficiency in financial close processes.
- BAS & IAS Preparation: Prepare and lodge Business and Instalment Activity Statements (BAS & IAS) with meticulous attention to detail.
- Client Engagement: Liaise directly with clients to address their queries promptly and accurately, fostering strong professional relationships.
- Regulatory Liaison: Communicate with the ATO and other third parties on behalf of clients, ensuring their interests are represented effectively.
You will need to have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Australian public practice, showcasing a strong track record of success.
- CPA or CA qualification (completed or in progress) is essential.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, enabling you to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
- High level of accuracy and analytical skills, capable of performing under pressure and managing multiple deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills, ensuring timely completion of tasks to meet internal and external requirements.
