The Opportunity
QIC has a newly created Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting position in our Financial Solutions team. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting, this is a unique opportunity to join a team in QIC Finance that has visibility and input across the breadth of all QIC asset classes and QIC Corporate. No one day is the same in this team!
As a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting, you will play a pivotal role in providing support in streamlining our year-end Financial Reporting process, setting up process and controls in ensuring compliance with regulatory Financial Reporting requirements, and managing ad-hoc projects as required. We are in search of an individual with a profound grasp of Financial Reporting principles, a talent for cross-functional collaboration, and the determination to thrive amidst demanding deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for compliant Financial Reporting.
- Manage Financial Reporting processes and controls, including attestations and risk assessments.
- Coordinate financial statement and regulatory audits with internal teams and external auditors.
- Ensure appropriate access to QIC systems and external auditor platforms.
- Oversee audit fee schedules and processing for QIC entities.
- Maintain Financial Reporting data in key QIC systems.
- Support coordination of data requirements for financial regulatory reporting.
About You
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA).
- Experience from a top tier professional service firm OR in a similar role within a commercial environment.
- Strong grasp of Financial Reporting principles.
