Access theThe unit also works to ensure efficient and timely delivery of Fringe Benefits Tax and Business Activity Statements reporting. Reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to the team's delivery of finical accounting and taxation services to QPS.You will develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal business units and external stakeholders to provide expert financial accounting guidance and advice.The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Effectively perform financial accounting and reporting functions within a team environment including month end reporting processes, general ledger maintenance and monthly external reporting.
- Provide accounting expertise to contribute effectively to the preparation and completion of the annual financial statements.
- Provide expertise and advice to contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of financial accounting policies, procedures, systems and reporting.
- Research and provide quality advice and reports on financial reporting requirements and accounting issues to management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships and networks with internal and external partners.
- Work effectively in a professional work environment that encourages teamwork whilst empowering individuals to strive for continuous improvement, seek challenges, develop skills and achieve results.
- Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience: Tertiary and post graduate qualifications in accounting or related disciplines would be highly regarded.
