The Role
The Senior Accountant role will see you join a team of expert professional to apply your existing knowledge and work with their valued clients as well as develop new client business to undertake a variety of personal and business-chartered accounting tasks while ensuring exceptional client service and ethical rigor and accuracy at all times.
Your proven capability of managing a senior-level accounting client portfolio paired with your excellent interpersonal approach and stakeholder management skills will set you up for success in this rewarding and long-term opportunity.

This role is based at the office in central Ballarat however those who may need some flexibility around school hours or work from home at times, such as school holidays (for example) are encouraged to apply.
Duties
- Develop as well as provide guidance, support and review of prepared reports in support of your client source documents all bookkeeping and accounting tasks for your team
- Develop as well as provide guidance, support and review on prepared financial statements and income tax returns with your team
- Review, discuss and provide client consultation on financial matters such as financial statements, tax returns outcomes and forecasting
- Provide client consultation with compliance issues related to matters arising from PAYG, GST, Workcover, Superannuation, Centrelink and other government agencies etc.
- Relevant Australian educational qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Demonstrated senior level accounting experience (business services/tax and advisory)
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organisational and time management skills.
- Proven Client Service portfolio management experience
- Experience working effectively and collaboratively with a large team of colleagues
- Demonstrated analytical / problem solving ability
- Experience using Xero, Practice Manager & MYOB cloud-based software would be advantageous
