The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join our friendly and close knit Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support the internal and external reporting that powers our financial decision making.
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, this is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer looking to step into a Senior Accounts role and work in a multi-entity, multi-currency global business that is in an exciting growth phase.
Key Accountabilities:
- Review and verify employee credit card entries and import files into NetSuite.
- Create invoice payment batches in NetSuite for review.
- Review and code invoices to submit for approval.
- Assist in weekly cash flow reporting/requirements.
- Maintain policies and procedures.
- Monthly account reconciliation and reporting.
- Collaboratively work with the broader Finance team to complete tasks and achieve deadlines.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Senior Accounts Payable role.
- Previous experience working with NetSuite, Expensify, and Tipalti (preferred but not necessary, as training will be provided).
- Preferred exposure to multi-currency and country invoicing.
- Confidence with basic accounting principles and tasks including AP management, reconciliations, and invoice processing along with the desire to develop and take on additional tasks.
- An excellent communication style both verbal and written.
- A collaborative approach to create healthy partnerships with ability to follow up on credit management and effectively navigate internal and external stakeholder behaviours.
- High attention to detail, timeliness across all tasks, and proven accuracy in data processing.
- Naturally self-motivated, enthusiastic and goal oriented.
