The Role and Responsibilities

This role supports the Accounts Payable Team Leader in providing high quality Accounts Payable services. This role is part of a dedicated and experienced team that is tasked with providing accurate and timely information.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead the Accounts Payable team in processing a high volume of transactions, ensuring all functions are operating effectively, efficiently and on a timely basis;
• Accurate processing of invoices and credit notes, employee reimbursements, refunds and petty cash reiumbursements;
• Reconcile creditor statements on a regular basis ensuring un-reconciled items are followed up and cleared promptly;
• Ensure month-end processes are completed on a timely basis;
• Drive improvements to systems and processes; and
• Any Ad-Hoc tasks as directed by the AP team leader.

The Successful Candidate

Within the context of the role described, the ideal applicant will be someone who has the following expertise:

• Strong AP OCR skills e.g. implementation experience - establishing procedures, troubleshooting etc;
• Effective Accounts Payable leadership skills;
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Accounts Payable function in an environment with high volume and a wide variety of financial transactions;
• Intermediate excel skills;
• Technology One experience in beneficial;
• Experience in the AP month-end and year-end processes;
• Demonstrated willingness to be hands on as required to ensure the AP team deadlines;
• Strong level of accuracy and attention to detail;
• Ability to organise, prioritise daily duties and multi-task; and
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
