TheSenior Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for monitoring and managing vendor accounts, including processing and reconciliation of account balances, while providing support to the Business Services, Finance, Retail and Fulfilment teams to ensure that information is accurately captured and processed.

What you’ll be doing

What does a normal day in the life of a Senior Accounts Payable Officer look like? Well, no 2 days are alike at Catch, but you could probably expect your day to include some of the following things:

• Responsible for oversight and review of the invoice processing and 3-way match process with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
• Responsible for ensuring the team complete supplier statement reconciliations through oversight and review
• Provide support to the Retail team with vendor account queries and processing of rebates, including monthly reporting on rebates received and processed. This will include managing complex account queries, as they arise, and managing multiple stakeholders through this process to ensure resolution is achieved.
• Maintain vendor accounts, track payments and resolve discrepancies
• Responsible for supporting investigating and resolve stock movement variances, including liaising with the Fulfilment team and provide feedback to the Finance team.
• Review and report on aged payable and PO variance reports on a monthly basis
• Management of vendor database, as required
• Support the team with cashflow and payment activities
• Assist with monthly reporting on the Payment Times Reporting Scheme
• Provide support and training to the offshore Business Services team
• In conjunction with the Business Services Manager, reviewing workflow processes to further identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvement

The Skills you'll have

• Proven experience in Accounts Payable or similar finance roles
• Retail or listed company experience would be preferred but not essential
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills and being proactive in seeking solutions to problems as they arise
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage workload to deadlines
• Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheet applications.
• Demonstrated ability to operate a as a team member and independently to achieve identified goals.
• Experience coordinating with broad range of stakeholders across a business
