Address The Opportunity
As Senior Actuarial Analyst you will provide a variety of analysis, reporting & actuarial support for HCF’s Diversified Business, which includes: HCF Life, Overseas Visitor Health Cover, Pet & Travel businesses. This includes detailed analysis of HCF’s diversified products, members and financial performance, and supporting regulatory functions.
Working within the Product & Diversified Business division, you will liaise with and provide services to other business units, including Business Growth, Member Services, Member Health, Finance, IT, and Risk & Compliance.
Providing Actuarial support and business insight on HCF’s strategic initiatives, this role involves a range of activities, including:
Financial Modelling
Budgeting
Pricing
Product Development
Reporting & Monitoring

About You
You will be a Tertiary qualified Actuary with a minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience in an Actuarial role in the Life/Health Instance industry.
Progressing towards Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia, or recently qualified
Strong technical and modelling capability including use of Excel, SAS/SQL, Python/R and/or other platforms
Knowledge of the Australian Life/Health Industry and its regulatory framework.
Demonstrated expertise in analysis, interpreting of data/information and providing concise commentary and recommendations.
Independent and flexible approach to deal with a wide range of tasks and develop solutions
Strong presentation skills. and ability to communicate effectively across the organisation
You will be flexible and adaptable with ability to collaborate with the wider team
