The opportunity
This is an exciting chance for an experienced Actuarial Analyst looking to grow their career with QBE in the role of Senior Actuarial Analyst with a key focus on providing actuarial valuation and portfolio support for our LMI product.
Your new role
- Support end to end quarterly reserving process.
- Support statutory reporting deliverables including APRA submissions, Actuarial Valuation Report and Financial Condition Report.
- Support IFRS 17 process including the General Measurement Model updates.
- Support other ad hoc analysis, including pricing model and capital model review.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing process.
- Provide guidance to junior analysts.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders.
About you
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (actuarial studies, mathematics, statistics or equivalent relevant disciplines) is highly preferred.
- Completion of the Actuaries Institute's Part II course or progress towards Part IIIs
- Industry experience in General Insurance is preferred.
- Strong MS Excel, SAS and R programming skills.
- Ability to communicate analysis and findings to a wide range of stakeholders.
