AddressAllygroup is seeking a Senior Admin Lawyer (EL1) for an initial 6-month contract with the possibility of a 6-month extension, with our high-profile Federal Government client. Candidates can be Canberra-based or interstate, hold a baseline clearance (preferred) and be available to work full-time.
About the role
The candidate will provide advisory and legislation support including the preparation of drafting instructions and the provision of, and second counselling of, legal advice. They must be able to work independently and flexibly on complex problems under time constraints and work collaboratively with policy advisors, other teams within the Legal Division as well as other agencies.
Experience/Skills:
Must have relevant regulatory/administrative law/statutory interpretation experience.
Experience working on legislative projects and knowledge of legislation drafting is preferred, but not necessary.
Looking for candidates at a Senior Associate level or above.
Must be admitted and hold an Australian practicing certificate.
